The Gold Museum is the most important of its kind in the world, containing more than 33,000 gold objects. The artifacts on display reflect the genius and artistry of the pre-Colombian societies that created them many centuries ago, before the arrival of the Spaniards.

El museo está divido en diferentes salas, cada una de las cuales exhibe una selección de piezas de oro, representativas de las muchas culturas indígenas que han habitado el territorio colombiano, al igual que textiles y muchos otros objetos de hueso y barro. La exhibición incluye explicaciones sobre los métodos usados en la elaboración del oro.

Es necesario visitar el museo varias veces para apreciar por completo la belleza de estas piezas preciosas.
